We are now accepting applications for the full-time position of Learning Solutions Technical Support Analyst in the Higher Education Division. Working in collaboration with the Learning Solutions team, the Learning Solutions Technical Support Analyst is primarily focused on providing effective, efficient and professional 2nd level technical support to students and instructors using MHR Learning Solutions products and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide timely, effective and efficient responses to incoming requests for Tier 2/escalated technical support.
• Use highly effective communication skills to collect and deliver information used in troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving issues. 
• Track all incoming inquiries using Web-based CRM software.
• Use advanced problem-solving skills to determine root cause, and provide detailed resolutions to end-users.
• Update Helpdesk FAQ and support resources.
• Work closely with Product Development and entire Learning Solutions team to capture recurring and systemic issues, and opportunities for product improvements.
• Work closely with Learning Solutions Managers, Sales Reps, Sales Coordinators and Regional Sales Managers to promote the value of our digital teaching and learning solutions.
• Helps to train instructors on digital product with the driven intention of growing our customer base and brand loyalty by achieving the highest degree of customer satisfaction.
• Strong organizational skills

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service and quality
• Demonstrated technical expertise with Internet and web applications is critical, especially in taking steps to solution in innovative ways.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly troubleshoot and diagnose end-user technical problems.
• Strong database and report-generating skills are required. 
• Demonstrated experience working with SQL and PHP would be an asset, but not required.
• Direct Experience with Moodle and other popular Course Management Systems would be an asset.

Description

The purpose of this role is to work as part of the Global Data Solutions team to help develop the S&amp;P Capital IQ and Xpressfeed (XF) platform. This role will significantly drive new revenue by supporting sales and expanding our S&amp;P Capital IQ and XF capabilities. This position will work closely with Desktop and Enterprise Solutions’ senior management, the S&amp;P Capital IQ team, our current &amp; potential clients, global sales &amp; support team and IT.

Responsibilities: 

* Understanding client needs. This position is responsible for the help with pre-sale support for our Sales team and prospects. He/she will meet with our clients frequently to understand their workflows and how our content should be packaged to meet those needs around functionality, delivery, linking, data coverage, data quality, etc. This position and the product management team will be accountable for regularly reviewing the sales pipeline with the sales organization.
* Product Development. In partnership with our IT team, this manager will help plan and oversee the evolution of XF to increase its relevance to the market.  In addition, a key part of this function will be to work to add new content sets to the application to help meet client requirements or fill existing gaps in coverage and content. 
* Setting product pricing, commercial terms and contracts. A key part of this role is to understand and capture the value of intellectual property and the unique content sets represented in our data feeds and data licensing. This includes establishing a framework and methodology for data pricing and communicating that to our sales teams and clients. Another part of this function is to manage the contracts for our data sets to reduce the legal paperwork burden on McGraw-Hill Financial and our clients as we create an integrated data solutions business.
* Marketing and sales execution - With all of the product building blocks in place, another important part of this job is ensuring that Sales have the resources they need to sell the product on a daily basis. This could involve bringing in other resources from across the organization as needed to ensure sales success. Frequent interaction with the sales team to understand what the issues are as they come up, and where each client is in the sales cycle, is key. 
* Customer Experience - Once clients are on board, this manager will work with Enterprise Solutions’ Business Operations and Customer Support to ensure smooth delivery of data to our clients, and troubleshoot as needed when there are queries or issues. In addition, this role and the product management team are responsible for meeting customer retention and satisfaction metrics. 
Qualifications


Required:
* BA or BS in Accounting, Finance, Engineering or related field (MBA and/or CFA a plus)
* 8  years of work experience
* 3 - 5 years financial information” product management (strategic planning and financial analysis) or
* 3 - 5 years financial information” business development and growth (P&amp;L)
* Demonstrated ability to manage a information business product line; hands-on experience developing and executing business plans and partnerships, owning customer relationships, and managing product enhancements that lead to increased revenues
* Specialization and knowledge of multiple asset classes, global financial markets and trading &amp; securities operations
* Understanding and knowledge of Asset Management, Investment Banking, Wealth Management, and other front to back office workflows (particularly as it relates to fixed income and risk management analysis)
* Understanding of the competitor landscape for S&amp;P’s Global Credit Portal and Fixed Income Solutions businesses

The Research Assistant will work within a global team of credit estimate analysts and will analyze pertinent financial, company and industry data necessary to arrive at a credit estimate determination.
