Title: Quality Assurance Engineer
Location: US-CO-Centennial (Englewood)
McGraw-Hill Finanical is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to be a key player in planning, preparation and execution of tests for web based applications/systems. This role requires a technologist, who works effectively, both independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment. The candidate must be a delivery-focused person with solid financial applications experience and skills. The candidate will report to the Director of Quality Assurance and will create and execute test cases, automation of tests, gather test metrics, execute deployments in the QA environment, co-ordinate production deployments and release planning.
The responsibilities also include:
· Evaluate requirements and define testing objectives and approaches; manage testing tools and environments, test preparation, execution, and automation.
· Continuous review and improvement of the testing and quality assurance methodologies and measurement of these processes.
· Coordinate with onshore and offshore QA teams.
· Participates in operational readiness review including pre- and post- implementation to ensure a successful business system solution for
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience or certification
* 1 year experiences in quality assurance.
* 1 testing method/testing tool/programming languages/technology environments
* Demonstrated skill to proactively resolve issues and escalate appropriately
* Experience in supporting all quality assurance tasks in the software engineering process
* Demonstrated experience with SQL preferred
* Demonstrates strong analytical skills, technical ability and time management skills.
* Familiarly with CIQ/Compustat Applications/Feeds/Products a plus
* Self-motivated, "test to break" attitude with an attention to detail
