Jr. Software Engineer
BENTEK is seeking a Junior SQL/.Net Developer with strong coding and testing skills. Responsibilities include:
* Hands-on coding, data validation and testing.
* Handle change requests and provide quick and efficient solutions.
* Analyze new assignments, develop scripts and test to validate data.
* Review issues and bugs to diagnose and correct problems according to existing standards.
The ideal candidate is a flexible problem solver who is open to new technologies and works effectively on individual projects as well as project teams. The ideal candidate will also have:
* 1-3 years experience
* Strong coding and documentation skills
* Demonstrated experience in working with users to test, debug and document systems.
Required Skills
* SQL database development, .Net 3.5 or 4.0
* Programming Tools: Visual Studio 2008 or 2010, C#
* Database Technologies: SQL Server 2005 or 2008R2
* MS Office 2007 or 2010, Outlook and Excel
Desired Skills
* Experience with WPF, HTML and JavaScript
* Experience with Python or Iron Python
* Experience with SQL geospatial data types
Education
* B.S. in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other technical discipline
