Web Developer
BENTEK is seeking a Web Developer to create new Web applications and enhance current Website infrastructure. Responsibilities include:
* Requirements gathering, database design, application integration, business logic development and wiring interfaces to the business layer.
* Collaborate with in-house design team to develop easy-to-use user interfaces.
* Develop and maintain Web applications that display data in multiple formats, including: PDF, XLS, formatted text/tables, graphs, charts, maps and other graphical representations.
The ideal candidate is a flexible problem solver who is open to new technologies and works effectively on individual projects as well as project teams. The ideal candidate will also have:
* A minimum of 3-5 years developing Web applications.
* At least 2 years working with Web tools such as ASP.NET (C# or VB.NET), HTML, T-SQL, ADO.NET, Firebug, Fiddler, Web Developer Tool Bar.
* Demonstrated experience in working with users to test, debug and document systems.
Required Skills
* Understanding and managing CSS-browser differences (IE 6,7,8, FF 3 , Chrome)
* Experience developing Web UIs in JavaScript and AJAX: jQuery, JSON, ASP.NET callbacks, ASP.NET AJAX, or other AJAX frameworks
* Working knowledge of database design along with Website and UI development.
* Familiarity with IIS Web server (6 ) and deploying ASP.NET applications
* Programming Tools: Visual Studio 2008-2010, VB.NET/C#, Visual Source Safe
* Database Technologies: SQL Server 2005-2008, ADO.NET
Desired Skills
* Google Maps/Google Earth Web browser map development or similar browser-based GIS application
* Design Tools: Flash, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Fireworks
* Understanding of ASP.NET membership/roles and ASP.NET Web parts
* Web Services, WCF experience,
* Flash and Action Script experience
Education
* B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems or other technical discipline
