%3CDIV%3EThe Senior Compliance%26nbsp;Analyst (SCA) will assist the Director of Compliance primarily with monitoring of Platts wide business activities and core processes in the Markets and Assessments division (%26quot;Editorial%26quot;). Responsibilities will include evaluating the efficacy of business controls and departmental procedures.%26nbsp; The SCA will implement best practices to enhance the operating environment and enhancements to workflow processes. The SCA will provide key input to management dashboards and reports to assist in assessing and evaluating enterprise risk and provide recommendations to mitigate residual risks. The SCA will also collaborate with fellow colleagues in the Quality and Risk Office to review Platts business control infrastructure, adherence to policies and procedures, and strategically implement firm-wide initiatives and projects.%3C/DIV%3E%0A%3CDIV%3E%26nbsp;%3C/DIV%3E%0A%3CDIV%3E%3CSTRONG%3EResponsibilities:%26nbsp;%3C/STRONG%3E%3C/DIV%3E%0A%3CUL%3E%0A%3CLI%3EPerform testing of the following:%0A%0A %3CUL%3E%0A%3CLI%3EMarket reporting and Price Group activities to determine adherence to methodologies, policies, standards and procedures.%26nbsp;%3C/LI%3E%0A%3CLI%3ECommercial activities in business departments to determine adherence to policies and procedures.%3C/LI%3E%0A%3C/UL%3E%0A%3C/LI%3E%0A%3CLI%3EOversee the counterparty acceptance, denial, suspension, and re-admittance processes.%3C/LI%3E%0A%3CLI%3EReview MOC complaints, grievances and inquiries to ensure proper handling and remediation.%3C/LI%3E%0A%3CLI%3EScreen e-Window and non e-Window related activities to ensure adherence to methodology and Platts policies and procedures.%3C/LI%3E%0A%3CLI%3EDevelop anti-manipulative market surveillance functions in connection with regulatory best practices.%3C/LI%3E%0A%3CLI%3EInfluence and interact with senior business and market reporting management to resolve potential issues and mitigate business risks%3C/LI%3E%0A%3CLI%3EDevelop key metrics and provide monthly compliance dashboard for Director of Compliance and Head of Quality and Risk%3C/LI%3E%0A%3CLI%3EResponsibilities also include the tracking of issues, examination findings, and other risk items%3C/LI%3E%0A%3CLI%3EReview, approve, and sign-off on examination reports and provide recommendations for best practices.%3C/LI%3E%0A%3CLI%3EKeep abreast of new and proposed regulatory rules and requirements and assess the potential impact on Platts business operations.%26nbsp; Recommend enhancements to Platts control infrastructure pursuant to new and proposed regulatory rules. Draft and implement new compliance policies and procedures, when applicable.%3C/LI%3E%0A%3CLI%3EReview existing and new regulation, participate in industry groups..%3C/LI%3E%0A%3CLI%3EOversee new product development for compliance adherence.%3C/LI%3E%0A%3CLI%3E%3CSPAN%3ELocal contact for Platts business continuity plan for editorial hubs located in Houston and Colorado.%3C/SPAN%3E%3C/LI%3E%0A%3C/UL%3E%0A%3CDIV%3E%26nbsp;%3C/DIV%3E
%3CDIV%3E%26nbsp;%3C/DIV%3E%0A%3CDIV%3E%3CSTRONG%3ERequired:%3C/STRONG%3E%3CBR/%3E%0A%3C/DIV%3E%0A%3CUL%3E%0A%3CLI%3EUndergraduate degree required. Major in accounting, finance or other business disciplines.%3C/LI%3E%0A%3CLI%3E8+ years of extensive experience in the energy or power markets. Must demonstrate the understanding of the interdependencies within the energy or power markets. Experience in oil markets is preferred.%3C/LI%3E%0A%3CLI%3EExperience in a Compliance, Audit or Risk Management role. Additionally, experience with constructing and improving compliance surveillance programs%3C/LI%3E%0A%3CLI%3EThe role requires an understanding of the regulatory landscape (e.g., CFTC, SEC, IOSCO, and NERC/FERC) of the energy and power industries.%3C/LI%3E%0A%3CLI%3EExperience working in a Matrix environment with ability to demonstrate strong influence skills.%26nbsp;%3C/LI%3E%0A%3CLI%3EAbility to work both independently with a proven ability to lead a team. Strong track record of leading and managing projects.%26nbsp;%3C/LI%3E%0A%3CLI%3EExcellent communication skills, both written and oral. Strong computer skills required.
