Title: Security Manager, India

We currently have an opportunity for a Security Manager in our India offices to join the Global Corporate Security team. You would work from our Hyderabad location and will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of the safety of The McGraw Hill Companies' employees, visitors and the protection of company property. We are looking for someone with a strong management background who can be comfortable in this very diverse and challenging role. This position is not just a physical security position and the ideal candidate should be able to conduct investigations, knowledgeable in crisis management, provide executive protection, and be able to travel.

Main responsibilities will include:
* Responsible for ensuring the safety well-being of employees, visitors and company property.
* Assist local executives in the management of incidents which may impact employee safety or business operations.
* Assist our security support centers with company related matters.
* Ensuring that the Corporation and Security department policies, procedures and practices are being effectively carried out.
* Investigate and follow up on incidents or events, as necessary or requested by members of Global Corporate Security.
* Provide executive protection for senior executives travelling in Asia.
* Maintain building security operations in Hyderabad or locations as needed.
The successful candidate will have:
* Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university.
* Must have at least 5 years experience in Corporate Management/Private Sector level position supervising people, preferably in the area of crisis management, emergency response, crisis communications, corporate security or business continuity.
* Security Training/Experience or Police/Armed Forces Experience/ Security Professional.
* Strong management background in either the public or private security sector with strong communications skills.
* Be an intelligent and highly motivated individual.
* Approachable/ Confident in a Corporate Environment.
* A disciplined, calm under pressure demeanour, conscientious and responsible attitude toward work, able to prioritise and handle tasks in an efficient manner.
* Experience in physical Security Systems and CCTV monitoring.
* Experience in dealing with the Emergency Services, Police, Fire an advantage but not essential.
* Work flexible hours and be able to travel and or relocate.
