The Market Data Specialist is required to work on projects that encompass all aspects of Market Data Service delivery including business analysis, the planning and execution of projects and data processes, communication with a variety of internal stakeholders in order to assure the timely delivery of high quality data to our internal clients and end users.
The market data product team oversees pricing, bundling, licensing, delivery, technology, and data delivery. We are responsible for the design and implementation of new services, together with the support and running of existing services. We provide expert advice and support for our global offices and are responsible for providing technical advice to many strategic projects.
The successful Market Data Specialist will have extensive experience within the financial, energy and/or commodities industry, working with market data systems and applications from a variety of market data providers. The Data Specialist will have exposure to a wide array of software and infrastructure technologies, and a wide range of different types of data relevant to the successful trading and processing of energy, commodities and/or equities, futures, options and other financial instruments.
They will be able to build strong working relationships across the organisation with editorial, sales, technology and finance. Externally the Data Specialist will need to engage with clients in a range of scenarios to understand their data and infrastructure requirements, then translate those back into the business for execution. 
Main Responsibilities:
·     Research on new technologies for improved data management and efficient end user processing.
·     Development of solutions that make our data easier and more efficient to process and maintain by end users.
·     Participate in the delivery of data analysis to support project work; responsibility for timely delivery of tasks and deliverables within projects.
·     Participate in the definition of requirements for data quality and develop and implement key performance indicators (KPI) to monitor compliance against those requirements.
·     Contribute to the development of plans that describe the implementation of data priorities. This includes steps to gather and validate requirements to implement and incorporate data management activities within the Data Operations teams.
·     Recommend solutions and procedures that include the necessary tasks to achieve high quality data and which take into consideration other systems/ software utilized for other purposes to allow consistency and prevent re-work. Implement such solutions and procedures within Data Operations. Ensure all projects take into consideration the overall data strategy of the organization.
·     Develop and run ad hoc data queries from multiple database types to identify and correct data and naming inconsistencies.
·     Provide training on data tasks to other members of the Data teams - may include assisting in the development and maintenance of documentation.
Suitable candidates will have a background in banking/software solutions/trading environment. This person must be knowledgeable of current trends in the market data industry with specific knowledge of current products, competition and industry.

The Business Technology Planning Manager, is a critical role within the Platts IT group. We currently have a vacancy for an analyst in our European Fund Research department. You will manage all technical aspects of fund research including leadership of specific asset classes in markets globally, with responsibility for providing stewardship of analytical quality, surveillance, thought leadership, and criteria development for these asset classes. Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

The Standard &amp; Poor's Structured Finance (securitisation) group is looking for highly skilled individuals to join the ABS team, which includes RMBS (Residential Mortgage Backed Securities), Consumer ABS (Asset Backed Securities) and ABCP (Asset Backed Commercial Papers).

Primary Responsibilities:

* Acting as surveillance rating analysts on transactions that Standard &amp; Poor's rates.
* Analysing all aspects of the transactions.
* Carrying out a detailed review of the assets, building and reviewing cash flow models and undertaking a detailed review of the documentation associated with the transaction to identify key asset, cash flow and structural risks that will affect the rating. 
Over time you will also be expected to rate new transactions and to contribute towards the development of new criteria and its publication and dissemination.
