State Solutions Manager in Monterey California United States

Title: State Solutions Manager
Location: US-CA-Monterey
We are in search of a passionate, articulate, and exceptional STATE SOLUTIONS MANAGER to secure, monitor and expand multiple large, complex contracts at the state level. Territory includes several states of concentration including RTTT states. You will be responsible for defining and executing state plans including securing and managing the resources required to secure and maintain the contracts within a given set of states.

You will work in partnership with various functional groups to develop state-level business. Participation in the development of strategies for expansion of existing accounts.

Here's what you will get to do:
* Lead state-wide team to win key state contracts.
* Create/implement business acquisition and expansion plan to attain long-term revenue growth in assigned states.
* Build long term business relationships with key decision makers (DOE, State Board Members, House/Senate Education Committee Leaders).
* Attend state board meetings.
* Assist with the development of bidding strategies and solution development that positions company to win contract awards and maximize shelf spin sales opportunities.
* Negotiate effective contract terms, overseeing the signing and implementation of contracts.
* Work closely with program and sales team to ensure sell-up opportunities are maximized.
* Monitor state funding and grants to effectively communicate to all Sales Representatives.
Here is what you will need to be successful:
* Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Education
* Exceptional strategic leader in understanding and winning key school district contracts
* Successful demonstration of your vast knowledge of educational measurement, research/evaluation design, instructional methodologies, and performance assessment
* Visionary for technology innovation; understand where we position our products
* Solid presentation skills and experience with large targeted audiences
* Persuasive leader and role model in industry with prospects/customers
* EXCEPTIONAL organizational skills
* Solid understanding of RFP/Proposal process
* Solution selling skills
* 75% travel capabilities
