The Retention Specialist’s primary responsibilities are totrain, resolve complex customer issues, create saved searches, monitor and increase customer Network usage for both new and existing customers. In addition the Retention Specialist will be responsible for credit stop activity, saving customer cancellations andimproving first year customer retention through emphasis on customer engagement.&lt;?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /&gt;

Responsibilities: 

·    Cancel Saves
·    React quickly and effectively to customer cancel requests by engaging customers to uncover cancel reasons. Overcome customer cancel reasons by reinforcing features, benefits and value with confidence and job knowledge  
·    Onboarding Experience
·    Create saved searches and email alerts for new Network customers within 10 days. Ensure expectations are met, customer is receiving return on investment, saved searches are customized and a review of the customer engagement rating. 
·    Renewals
·    Proactively contact accounts 30-45 days prior to contract renewal with a courtesy call and email. Provide a resource to ensure accounts continue to see a ROI.
·    High Risk Accounts
·    Ensure customer understands and acknowledges return on investment and takes timely, appropriate action based on customer engagement (usage) rating. Contact all high risk/low usage customers. Each rep should have the ability to uncover and resolve customer issues and minimize escalation.
·    Credit Stops
·    Proactive engagement on credit stops prior to closing including fax notification, phone calls and prorating accounts. All customer interaction details are required to be noted in Lawson.
·    Scorecard Activities
·    Responsible for effectively attaining all Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and scorecard metrics as defined by management team.
·    Systems
·    Maintain excellent records of interactions with accounts as required in CRM system; demonstrates effective utilization of all appropriate systems for information capture and reporting. Follow SOP
·    Communication
·    Represents McGraw-Hill Construction professionally and accurately in all interactions

Required:
* 
Bachelor's Degree.
* 
The Retention Specialist must understand customer needs and have experience in a support environment. &lt;?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /&gt; 
* Strong interpersonal skills and aptitude for customer service skills required. 
* Proficiency in desktop software programs, necessary in successfully executing against job requirements (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other software packages as necessary (CRM, Order Management, etc.), as well as functional knowledge of network systems necessary to complete tasks, and manage duties accordingly. 
* Ability to self-monitor and continuously improve efforts. Decision making and problem solving ability. 
* Organizational skills and ability to effectively multi-task. 
* Proficient written and oral communication skills to facilitate interaction with all staff levels as well as customers. Must be able to clearly document activities and communicate effectively with MHC leaders, Sales, Marketing, Technical Support, Product, and other departments.
