* Design and develop industry-leading web applications/services to support key business needs
* Build components, and common services based on standard corporate development models, languages and tools
* Produce system design documents and lead technical walkthroughs
* Review business requirements and derive effort estimates
* Design and develop the interfaces with other internal applications.
* Perform day-to-day maintenance and project development activities including:
* Application code and programming
* CMS, server and database software upgrades
* New functionality and site-wide enhancements
* 3rd party tool integration and troubleshooting
* Respond to and resolve production issues
* MUST HAVE: Expert in both Core Java and PL/SQL technologies.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering is required, or in lieu, a demonstrated equivalence in work experience.
* A minimum of 6 years of strong experience in application development using Java/J2EE technologies, such as: Ext-JS, JSF, JPA, Hibernate, Toplink, Velocity Templates, JMS messaging, JSP and JavaScript (JQuery etc).
* Superior knowledge of system architecture, object-oriented design, and J2EE framework and patterns.
* Understanding of financial markets and asset classes like Equity, Commodity, Fixed Income, Options, Index/Benchmarks
