Title: Associate Director, S&P Capital IQ
Location: JP-Tokyo
This position is to grow the revenue in Japan by developing new clients for Capital IQ. Also this is to establish relationships at client organization to promote S&P Capital IQ capabilities, understand client objectives to influence future product development and drive revenue.

An Associate Director is building and managing a client base in mainly Investment banking clients in Japan, managing relationships with current and potential clients, training users in a group or individual setting on the Capital IQ Platform, creating and updating detailed financial models, generating ideas for potential improvements to the Capital IQ Platform, and other related initiatives.

Candidates are preferred to have some experience in the investment research, money management, investment banking or financial consulting fields. These professionals will find that Capital IQ provides a challenging and flexible environment, which values self-motivation and team collaboration.

* Discover: Understand key business issues with the client and Establish relevancy in key relationships.

* Diagnose: Identify indicators of issues addressed and confirm the financial impact of the problem

* Design deals: Co-create the solution with the client and manage the customer expectations and criteria

* Deliver the solutions: Implement the solution and ensure the client understands the value, and expand the business. Lead contract preparation and contract amendments driving the commercial terms that reflect client needs and meet revenue goals for value delivered.

* Establish long term relationships and maintain assigned Key Account profiles that reflect biz in place and current and future direction on strategy of S&P Capital IQ and client to drive revenue.

* Participate fully in all contract renewal efforts. Ensure the team is aware of renewal date a minimum of 6 months prior to the renewal.

* Manage the pipeline for the territory

* Work with Product Management and analytical services to identify customer profiles to develop calling and contact lists for business development

* Extensive contact network in the Japanese financial services industry
* Excellent analytical capabilities including some financial modeling background
* Strong ability to communicate with clients in a clear manner and strong presentation skills
* Established relationship building and time management skills
* Ability to develop comprehensive recommendations in efforts to improve the business
* Ability to work independently as well as in a team-based environment
* Fluent in English and Japanese
Specific Requirements:
* Bachelors degree required
* At least 4-6 years of experience working with the financial markets
* Some networking and/or sales experience
